Hi! I am willing to buy an engagement ring with an emerald stone and I have a question. I ordered a ring with an oval shape 0.75ct Colombian emerald stone from a jeweler. However, I have noticed under the light and with bare eyes that the surface of the stone has some cracks that reach the corner of the stone in which you can fill the crack with your nail.

I searched the Internet and I found that naturally, emeralds have inclusions in them and one can distinguish them under a microscope. My question is whether these cracks are due to work on the stone in the laboratory or the stone has inclusions that have reached the surface. If it is the second one, do these cracks affect the quality and the price of the stone because they are on the upper surface of the stone (so, easily visible)? Is it ok if I buy a ring with such a stone?

p.s: I'm not experienced with the world of jewelry, maybe I missed some information or I'm using wrong terminology. So, I apologize for any mistake in advance.

Thank you for your help!
