Question about upgrading center stone

Hello everyone! This is my first post so I hope I'm asking in the right place! DH wants to upgrade my center stone (woo hoo!) but I'm concerned about it changing the look of my setting. My current ER has a 1.34ct round brilliant center stone flanked by a trillion on each side. I'd like to upgrade to a 2ct round brilliant, but am afraid this stone might obscure the trillions when looking at it from above. I'm planning on asking our jeweler their opinion, but thought I'd ask the experts here first!

I think you would need a whole new setting, 2 ct. is a big jump in size and I doubt reusing the setting will work. Curious what an expert will say!

I(f it is platinum: you can get a VERY VERY SKILLED bench to remove your current basket then hand forge a new one in it's place to fit your head. It will change the right size (cause it will be a bigger head) and it will cost a LOT of money, but it is possible.
