I'm looking at burnished wedding bands as a possible replacement for my current ring. I'm looking at rings similar to this style:

I would like a band that I don't need to worry about and that I don't need to remove for daily household activities like applying lotion, washing dishes, etc. While I like the little bit of subtle sparkle on these bands, I'm worried about the little diamonds getting dirty, or falling out. I'm also a little nervous since I don't think these rings can be resized. My hands have been the same size for the past 10 years, but I've never had children and I've heard your hands can change size after pregnancy or as you age.

If you have one of these rings, can you tell me about their durability. Do stones commonly fall out of these rings? Are there any options for sizing in the future if needed? Thanks ladies!

I have the Tiffany Etoile. It's very durable and versatile to wear (I can stack other bands on either side etc.) I don't think it can be sized - and DON'T put it in the ultrasonic cleaner - Tiffanys had to fix mine when I did that and a stone fell out, but otherwise smooth sailing - and I'm pretty hard on my rings!

I don't have that particular ring, but I have a ring in 18k gold with diamonds set in the same way and a similar finish. I've been wearing it 24/7 for the past 10+ years. I've never had problems with the diamonds falling out (although it's not from that manufacturer). Dirt under the diamonds is only a matter of cleaning them. My problem is with the burnished finish. Mine wore off within a few years. You can have it refinished, of course. Sure, mine is 18k, so it's softer, but I think the same thing would happen eventually with 14k. JMHO.
