Hi--
I saw a nice pave band in a local jewelry store (not a mall store, but a family store that has 3 locations in NC). The store is well regarded locally. They are currently having a sale, and they had a .35ct 18K pave diamond band for $880. The pave went about half way around, and was one-sided (top only). I know I can probably beat that price online perhaps, but I''m trying to find a ring that sits flush with my engagement ring, and I have not had luck with that through online vendors. Trying one on in person seems like the easiest way to go, if not the cheapest.
My questions is: do you think the price is fair? The regular price of the ring is $1100. The sale lasts through next week. The ring was gorgeous, but I''m not sure with pave that they even grade the diamonds. How can I be sure of the quality--is the reputation of the store enough?
Before now, I had my mind set on a shared prong diamond band. But I really thought this pave band complimented my cushion solitaire ring very well. I have a low set 4-prong solitaire that''s got a very plain band. The pave added just enough bling without taking away from my solitaire. Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks!
