Question about melee/center stone color

Hi all,

Do the center stone and the melee in the pave/halo have to be the same color or can they slightly off? Specifically, this ring has a minimum H color in the melee http://www.ritani.com/engagement-rings/french-set-halo-diamond-band-engagement-ring-in-platinum/4975 Would an I stone look different/yellower? John Pearlman doesn't seem to think so but this review on a similar Ritani setting (same ctw, color of melee) says the following: "I'm very pleased with my purchase, but I'd recommend a more colorless center stone with it as the pave stones in the halo and on the sides will make an I or J diamond look like it has more color than it does." http://www.ritani.com/engagement-rings/french-set-halo-diamond-band-engagement-ring-in-platinum/4973

Thanks for your thoughts/suggestions!

I agree, one color grade is not an issue. Tiny stones may look different than the center stone just because they are so much smaller regardless of the color. The person who said that may have had an stone with unreliable color grading.

Great, thanks for the reassurance! The great diamond hunt begins!
