Hello! I am a brand new member and have found previous forums on this site to be very informative and helpful! Looking at diamonds can be overwhelming and I do not want to make a wrong decision. My husband and I are considering purchasing a GIA certified cushion cut diamond with the below specs. My concern is the knot inclusion and potentially the "good" symmetry grade. This has been the only diamond we have looked at with a knot inclusion and I do not know much about them. I have been told that the diamond is 100% eye clean and defiantly will not purchase it without seeing it first. Below link has all the diamond specs. Would you guys advice against purchasing this diamond?

I would need to see it

A knot doesn't affect the symmetry. A knot is a crystal that extends to the diamond surface. Ask the jeweler if it poses an integrity issue. Else I'll be more concerned about the diamond light performance. Look at it under lighting environments under than the jeweler's spotlighting. Make sure that is a good return policy or upgrade policy. Sometimes a diamond can look very nice till our eyes are trained to detect even better performing diamonds.
I forgot to mention that you should ask for an aset. With that, the experienced members can better help you.

Ask for an ast.? How do I do that?
