I have been shopping around now for awhile trying to get the perfect stone for my girlfriend''s e-ring. I have found a 1.33c princess cut that really jumps out at me, no color, very sparkly. It is also very square at 6.00 x 6.00. My question being ... is 6.00 x 6.00 seem on the small side for a diamond of this carat? Thanks for any replies.

No, it''s about right.

Hey Fiance!

Go up to the top here and type in your specs and look to see the size of some others that are similar. I just did and most were bigger in diameter but that depends on depth, etc. I just spent many grueling hour locating a nice princess. They are notorious for being deeply cut thereby reducing it''s "spread" or size appearance. Also post some specs if you want an opinion about it. I''m sure the experts will try to help. Good luck!

In the new AGS-system, a princess with 6x6-diameter will be penalised on spread if it weighs more than 1.45 Cts.

Your stone, weighing clearly less at 1.33, poses no spread-problem.

Live long,

Thanks Christy and everyone else for the tips. I think it was just the fact that I had my eye on a 1.62 for awhile, until it was sold, which made me prejudiced towards a larger stone.
