Please share.you opinion.
I'm so torn.
This is a GIA Q-R very faint brown round
7.5mm round
Eyeclean SI1
Girdle:med-med
Depth: 60
Table: 59
Ex/Ex
Flur: Faint

I had an S-T color in Unplated 18 white gold but it had no brown in it.

I'm not doing a halo. Thinking of solitaire with side diamonds set pave.

In which color gold would this diamond look good in? 18 rose or 18 white

The pave will highlight the difference in color of the main stone even if its only on the shank. Are you ok with that? As for what color good to set it in I think it depends on the specific brown tint. Can you put your stone next to each option goodmyou are considering to get a better idea how it will look together?

I think (my personal preference only) I’d go with white gold. Just a gut feeling.
But I might change my mind if you can show the Diamond next to both 18k golds.

Both can look awesome, which do you like better?
White side stones compliment a brown diamond well.

Does it have any yellow in it? If it tends towards brown then rose gold is usually pretty but if it tends towards yellow then I would probably go with
yellow gold or unplated white gold.

I would also need to see a video or good picture of your stone in decent lighting (the way it usually looks).

For my money - definitely rose gold. It's lush. I agree, tho - if it has a yellow tint, yellow gold would be awesome.

@ZestfullyBling

Can you please post a photo of your diamond?

I have a Q-VVS2 being set right now, platinum halo and 18k yellow shank.

Here is the video of diamond

Nice video.
IDK personally I think you need to see it next to each metal choice to make the most informed decision because the computer monitor can change the color we are seeing (cause I do see a bit of yellow in that video but again it could be my monitor) but when they are next to each other you will have a more accurate perception of how they work together. Does that make sense? I see the overwhelming vote is for rose gold. I cannot vote as I am not sure. I think both metals might look lovely but cannot say definitively.

I see the yellow in my monitor too. Could be the light in the video...who knows. I thought about the setting with the white stones contrasting with the Q center and rose gold. I will love that!!!

It would be nice to see the q against both color metals to get a better idea. I'm going to go with my gut and go with rose gold. I think it would be Devine!

Thank you everyone for your comments and votes! I will know if I chose the right color metal when I have the finished product in hand next week:appl:
