do you prefer regular or decaf?

i drink the real thing... :praise:

Regular.

the whole idea of decaf coffee is an oxymoron - it's like jumbo shrimp. i am caffeinated daily.

Regular, black please!

While I love real coffee I can only drink decaf - heart arrhythmia. :(sad

Regular.
Fresh ground. Just roasted.

Prefer single origen, especially African. My current favorite is Ethiopian Mokka Harrar roasted to a medium roast.

I love regular coffee - it has so many different types and flavors, but I only drink decaf - regular makes me soooo jittery. However, I do love my decaf - from Starbucks! =)

Regular and Decaf

Decaf for after dinner coffee. I do like to sleep :D

Toopatient, Ethopian beans are my favorite!

This is very sad indeed. If i had a medical problem and couldn't drink coffee, i think out of habit, i would still drink decaf.

I like strong regular coffee, but with lots of cream and sugar, so I don't know if I'm considered a "real" coffee drinker :cheeky:

Anything. Just drink for the bitterness, caffine does not work for me. I can drink until my hands shakes and still falls asleep within 30mins.

I love my fully-caffeinated coffee. That said, being pregnant, I've cut back my intake considerably. I'm still a "bad pregnant woman" and do sneak about 1/4 regular into my decaf, however. Baby doesn't mind. He gets more uppity with orange juice, anyhow. lol

I figure that little bit of caffiene isn't a big deal, especially when my OB took away my Earl Gray Tea (bergamot oil is a no-no). :((

I don't drink coffee every day, but if I'm treating myself to coffee, I get decaf. While my heart issues are under control, I prefer not to aggravate them when I can help it. Sometimes I do drink regular coffee, but it's pretty rare. I've also found that I am a much more pleasant person without relying caffeine in the morning, so even when I am tempted to start drinking it again, I remember how awful my mornings used to be!

Regular, what the point of decaf lol, I need the caffine rush to get thru the day

This is interesting. Why did the doc feel oil of bergamot is bad? I used to drink lots of earl grey, my fav, but stopped some time back.

hit me with the caffeine

south american bean

Apparently, bergamot oil can contribute to pre-term labor by stimulating contractions (which might be useful at the end if baby is being stubborn about getting on out!). I'd had no idea about that myself until she mentioned it after I noted my affinity for teas. I'll admit though, I haven't really done any extra research myself... so I'm not sure just *how* much of a "risk" it would really impose... I'd been drinking earl grey almost daily up until I went to this doc at 20 weeks without an odd twinge at all.

I drink coffee occasionally and it doesn't really matter to me whether it's decaf or regular (same with tea, although I drink it more than coffee). I don't drink particular things for the caffeine, it's more to get warm and just because I like how it tastes.

Used to drink it black by the vat.. kicked the habit when it got to the point where I needed my daily multi-fixes or I'd get truly wretched headaches.

Now I drink tea - probably too much of it, but at least I'm not on a prayer schedule...

I only like the fancy, unhealthy coffee drinks. I had a peppermint mocha today, and it was delicious! I like some of the coffee flavor, but black coffee is too bitter for me.

I can only drink regular up till 8 pm or so, or else I'll be awake all night.

I love real coffee too but it gives me bad heart palps. Scary as heck :errrr:

I love coffee but get side effects so can only drink decaf.

BTW Australians DON'T hang out at McCafe's (McDonald's cafe). We drink good quality coffee and like our coffee strong.
I have no idea what Oprah is doing promoting that us Aussies hang out there. It's a lie!
Clearly she is getting paid by the McDonald's.

I like McD's coffee - a lot - dunkin donuts for iced coffee :halo:

Regular!!

Regular. We grind Starbucks beans every morning and it is so good.

Regular. I need the caffeine badly!

I'm sorry to hear that. I have family members with arrhythmia's also.

For me, I like regular with some half n half. I'm also into the holiday drinks at Starbucks!

We mix half regular and half decaf, then I pour about 1/3 cup of creamer into it...I think by the time I drink
it the caffine is pretty much diluted out!
