Proposal psych outs?

Hey this funny commercial that''s been on a lot recently made me think of this topic.. the one where the guy and girl are walking by this jewellery store and he has to get down to tie his shoelaces and the girl think he''s proposing!
Have you or a friend of yours ever had that happen to you? My ex BF once got me a solitaire diamond ring for Christmas! And yes, I thought it was a proposal!!! Who wouldn''t?? Boy did I feel dumb, and I think he felt bad and a little stupid too. But it was just a gift. My current BF alo got his ex a diamond ring (not solitaire though) for Christmas and she thought it was an e-ring too!!

Then walked away giggling. he knows I am on the edge of my seat and likes to play pranks.

My SO does stuff like that all the time! I would say he does something like that at least once a week.

A typical stunt is that we''ll go out for a nice meal and he''ll take my hand from across the table and say "darling, will you..... split the scallops appetizer with me?"

lol... maybe i should have mentioned this in my original post -- but mine didn''t realize until he saw the look on my crestfallen face that i thought that he was going to propose... he was like, "what?" i guess i just have engagement on the brain.
