Not quite a diamond question but more of a setting question:

Keep in mind that this is NOT an engagement ring. It''s a RHR/anniversary ring. Are the side stones too large for the center?
Cushion sides are 5mm
Center cushion stone is 6.5mm

I drew all 3 squares out on a piece of paper and it looked so so. The side stones are coloured gemstones (red), so I''m concerned that it''ll upstage the center diamond too much but I also don''t want it to look too engagement-y.

No one taking a gander at it?

I''m wondering what are the dimensions of Widget''s stones in her ring? It looks like the look that I''ve drawn out seem similiar to what she has. What do you think of this look? Too chunky? Unique?

that is about what yours would look like. i don''t think it is ''engagementy'' at all. as for the look of three stones of the same size, only you can decide if you like it. if you feel you can carry it off...you will.

I LOVE Widget's ring!

I LOVE the look of three stones so close in size, especially for an anniversary/RHR.

But, I AM biased, don't ya know!

The thing is I don''t know if I can carry off this look. I haven''t any jewellery that mimics this style. I also have fairly small hands and fingers (size 4.5) and am still pretty young (but not too young at under 40). Will this make me look as though I have "older" tastes?

I have the same sized finger as you and am also fairly young. My personal preference is to have sidestones that are about 1/3 to 1/2 the size of the center stone so that you can see them easily, but they let the center stone shine. Since your finger is so small, 5mm sidestones with your center are going to take up a lot of your finger and they might have to build the setting upwards if that makes any sense.
