Hello again all,
Looking at the forum headings, I could not tell where would be the best place to post this question so if there is a better forum, please let me know.
I saw a ring in a pawn shop but did not buy it because I did not like the stones all that much. The setting however was interesting, I didn''t like all of that either but there was a piece I thought I would try to find and have had no luck at all.
The head of the setting, had six prongs. Each prong, opened up at the end into three tiny little prongs, like a tiny little three fingered claw.
Two of the three prongs clutched the center round stone (making twelve tiny little prongs holding the center stone) and the third clutched the far side of a tiny little one point diamond. This created the appearance of making the center stone look much larger than it was, and also, created the appearance of a six pointed star.
Since I do not have a picture, if you can visualize a prong, that instead of ending in one little point that grabs your stone, ends in three tiny little prongs that grab both the center stone, and a tiny little stone.
I just want to find a findings place where I can buy this little head and then put it on a solitaire instead of the ring they had it on.
Has anyone ever seen this or know where I might be able to find it?
I am in New York City btw.
Thank you in advance.
