Princess vs. Celebrity Cruiselines

Have any of you been on either of these two ships, or cruiselines? Looking for advice as to which is a better choice:

I have only been on Princess and Royal Caribbean... I know RC isn''t one of your choices, but compared to the Princess, RC was a LOT better. I guess it really just depends on the ship itself and what if offers.

The Princess I went on (can''t think of it now) but I really did not like the layout of the ship (It puts the entertainment areas at the front and back vs spaced out the length like the Celebrity and RC do... to me, having the "promenade" area made the ship feel much larger). Anyways, I just looked at the two ships you are looking at and I would go with the Celebrity. It is larger and the layout appears better... Summit (900+ feet) vs Princess (~600 ft)

I haven''t been on Princess or Celebrity, but I have been researching a cruise for a family reunion/celebration in 2010. My FF''s parents and my parents are celebrating their 60th and 50th anniversaries, respectively.

We are planning to treat them on a Caribbean cruise, and Celebrity was well recommended (I checked out frommers.com about cruises). We thought about going more upscale with the Radisson or Crystal cruises, but since FF has to pay for e-ring and have our eventual wedding, we really couldn''t do it. My research lead me to Celebrity. In addition, future BIL has been on a couple of Celebrity cruises and really liked them.

I also recommend looking at cruisecritic.com to help you decide.

Haven''t been on Princess but have traveled with Celebrity on the Infinity for an Alaskan cruise. I thought Celebrity was great. We were on a deck with concierge services, which is sort of like business class. It included priority check in and baggage handling, as well as fresh fruit and plush robes in our state rooms, among other perks. The service was wonderful and the food was pretty good. I would definitely cruise again with Celebrity.

I second, or third, the rec on looking at cruisecritic.com. Has tons of info and reviews.
