Hello Everyone!

Am very impressed with the knowledge base that these message boards offer. And would be most gratfull if you could impart some of this knowledge to me.
The lucky girl will be recieving her ring in the new year a princess cut 2ct+ stone but this is where my dilemma lies have read numerous things about round brilliant diamonds (all fine). However do not understand what makes an excellent cut princess or how to estabish if a particular diamond is or isn''t. Can you guys/girls help?

Cheers Diagnose

If you got a problem! and no one else can solve it! Maybe you should hire the Pricescope Team. (set one up! do the rounds! and if your looking for a manager - hire you out for parties).

there is no true way to diagnose hehehehe a princess by the numbers alone. There are a lot of combos that can make for a beautiful stone. I think that ...especially when selecting a stone from others online only by the #s....you should pic a stone with a good depth (I like 70-73) and a table a little lower than the depth....A lightscope image I believe is key if you are not used to seeing truly spectacular princess stones so you can''t tell a great stone apart from a good stone....I also think BScope results are helpful...but I''m not ''sold'' on the reliability of the BScope or its ability to indicate how a stone will appeal to your eyes. One of the most spectacular princess stones I saw was decent (good, not amazing) on the BScope but had an AMAZING lightscope image...Best of luck in your search!!!
