Princess Kate's Earrings, Links of London

Hi, so here are my white topaz and silver Hope Egg earrings from Links of London, as frequently worn by Kate Middleton, the future British queen consort. Our tastes are very similar, and she has been seen in my L.K. Bennett shoes. Therefore I thought she wouldn't mind if I stole her earrings.

I found a necklace that is not an exact match but which I think goes very well. It's silver with diamonds, from Hamilton Jewelers.

The point about both these items is that they were very inexpensive, under $500 for the earrings and $100 for the necklace. They go to show that if you apply some discrimination, you don't always have to spend a fortune to get something that looks nice. I love this set, inexpensive as it is. And the earrings are fit for a queen, so.....!

I must say, if I was a princess I'd be raiding the Queen's coffers on a regular basis! I saw her diamond exhibition at Buckingham Palace. I swear, I stared and stared until the guards moved me on

I love being called a kid at 38. You've done me good, Rosetta - I feel like a teenager now!

Lucky you, getting to see the diamond exhibition. I miss out on those things, having moved to the US. But I did see the Crown Jewels recently. You have to go past them on a conveyor belt! But you can go round multiple times - which I did! The exhibition ends with the Imperial State Crown, which is utterly breathtaking.

You also get to see Queen Victoria's incredibly sweet Small Diamond Crown. I think it's about 11cm diameter, and it's just perfect for everyday wear!
