Wondering if someone could have a look at the numbers on any of these:

I only have the size and GIA numbers.

THings seem to be done a bit differently here in UK so please dont ridicule!!

.38ct D VS1 - gia 15455856
.42ct G VS1 - gia 1136508692
.40ct E VS2 - gia 2141024107
.40ct G VVS2 - gia 14552473
.40ct E VVS2 - gia 6137398196

I think its between e vvs and e vs2 but im not sure on the numbers?

No idea of cut grade???

thanks,

GIA does not grade the cut performance of a princess and you cannot tell if you have a good performing stone from numbers alone for princess. So not much to go on unless you can supply ASET image. From the numbers alone, most of these will be rejected mainly due to large table and a depth smaller than table.

For that size, I suggest you drop you specs in the color and clarity grade to H/I SI1, as you will probably not be able to tell the difference anyway.

thanks no pics in UK. Dont know why? Gap in the market if anyone wants to! THanks for advice. Can you advise what to look for in sizes? Ive had a look at the chart but i dont really understand?

there is a company 77diamonds that do AGS diamonds who i believe offer cut quality grading. WOuld anyone be so kind as to suggest one of these from their wesite. http://www.77diamonds.com/princess-cut-diamond.html if you search between 0.38-0.44 they have 11 listed under AGS. Just scrolling over them gives most the details needed.

Sorry another edit the wife wants / needs that size as she has very tiny hands but notice there are a few more if you increase size parameters. Just would like to find the best stone i can.

Do people think this would be abetter option as i wont be able to see diamonds in flesh

thanks,

Yap, go with the AGS0 cut graded stones will be much safer buying unseen. So check for available grading report or request for one if they are not uploaded.

I would say go for the biggest ones that you can afford, best balance of your specs, your wife may say she wants something small but almost always some time down the road she will wish it is bigger. I do not like to pay for what I cannot tell the difference with the naked eyes.

Great. Fortunately our lass is not like most material women otherwise she'd have got binned years ago. This is a repacement for a diamond she lost out of her original engagement ring and she has never said she needed it any bigger.

I see whiteflash show an idealscope picture on their AGS reports so will contact supplier and see if I can get the originals.

Assume that if they are graded excellent cut by AGS then the depth and table proportions should be good???????

Thanks,

Table and depth sizes are not a good way to determine cut so don't worry about that if the stone has an AGS0 cut grade.
