Hi guys. Do you mind giving me your opinion on the following diamond specs? I am going to SB this weekend and would like to know if you guys think this one is worth a look? I''m sorry I don''t have ASET or anything, so I apologize. I also don''t have crown height. I entered the info into the calculator at gemappraiser.com and it scored a 1B even though I entered a crappy crown height as 7%.

Princess Cut
GIA Certified
E Color
SI1 Clarity
1.15 carat
5.88 X 5.78 X4.00
Table- 72%
Depth- 70.10%
Gridle- Thin to Medium
Flourence- None
Cutlet- None
Polish- Excellent
Symmetry- Very Good
Lenth/width ratio- 1.02

Thanks in advance for all of your help! Even when I don''t ever have all the info you guys like to have. I hope you guys understand how much your opinion means to diamond newbies like myself.

Also, note for Stone Cold 11 and Lorelai (sp? I love Gilmore Girls, so idk why i can''t spell your name!) - You guys reply to every single one of my posts and questions every single time, even when they are stupid and I would like to personally thank you for your time. You are greatly appreciated!

No problem.

Generally, prefer the depth to be slightly bigger than the table, but since you will be able to see the stones in person, use you eyes, compare them in as many different lighting conditions as you can think of.

Good luck.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that! So many rules to remember! I also meant to list the price. It is $4700.....

Have you search Union Diamond''s inventory? They are based in Atlanta too and have a handheld ASET scope.

Are they a Verragio dealer? I picked out my setting from them in about 3 seconds and have never changed my mind about it.

That''s why I ended up at SB. It was really only them or D Geller and Son who were horrible!

Hi Amy

I am very glad to help you! Also no question is stupid so please don't think that for one moment! I don't want anyone to feel that way or be made to feel that way, no question is too silly or insignificant enough to deserve a respectful answer and I would hope those who choose to help in RT bear that in mind at all times.

Down to the diamond, its not cut to top standards, the depth is less than the table where normally the reverse is preferred but it depends on what you are looking for, it could be a decent stone but it appears to be of commercial cut quality ( which make up the vast majority of Princess offered for sale). If you aren't sure, see if there is a Jareds near you where you can compare AGS0 cut grade diamonds and see how this one compares.

If you do decide you are seriously interested in this diamond for purchase, ask if you can check it out away from the store lights to see how it looks in plain daylight as bright jewellery store lights can be deceptive.

Will SB set loose stone?
