Hi,
I'm looking to buy a princess cut

Around 0.75 ct
Lots of nice sparkle
no visible imperfections
colourless enough to be set in platinum

I'm a bit confused about "cutlet" in princess cut...
I've looked at Whiteflash.com and some have a small one, but most have none.
I read that a large cutlet makes the diamond appear to have a hole in the middle.

So which is best for a princess cut, no cutlet or a small cutlet?

Also if someone could tell me what to look for in terms of depth and table for a good sparkle
and colour for platinum I would appreciate it. I'm looking to spend ~$2000-$2500

Thanks

Steve

Princess cuts are very difficult to
evaluate solely on the numbers. Two stones
with the similar specs may look quite different.

If you're shopping on the Internet and can't get
to see the diamond, find out if your vendor can provide you with
"visual" data such as a BrillianceScope report
(www.gemex.com). These reports will detail the brilliance,
fire, and scintillation in the stone.

Good Luck,
