Pricing of Side Stones

Hi everyone!

A custom ring I am having made requires the acquisition of various side stones (2 trapezoid cuts and up to 12 square baguettes) which the designer of the ring will obtain for me. I think that all side stones will need to be well cut F/G VS clarity stones based on my center stone. Based on the above, I am receiving estimates from various jewelers but am wondering what the actual cost of the side stones should be, which is where I hope that you, the all knowing Pricescope readers and contributors, can help.
The trapezoid cut sides will be between 0.10 and 0.20 points each and the square baguettes will be between 4 and 7 points each. I am wondering what these stones should cost (both at wholesale and what I can expect to pay a jeweler).

I dunno traps, but baguettes can get a little up there... definitely a considerable amount more than their weight in rounds.

If the designer of the ring is obtaining the stones for you, he will present you with the estimates from the various jewellers and which are the best diamonds for the money, and the best matches for your centre diamond? As a client/ customer you would be paying retail price anyway, not wholesale.
