Price prediction of Diamonds - still the same?

This is a thread I thought very interesting in the price prediction of diamonds...do you think is still true today?

To my perspective seems prices have not changed much in the past 12 months and I went back to try to compare the last 3 years but really could not find a comparison. Supply seems to be steady, hit & miss at times, but usually in a month you find something that fits the want.....am I not seeing the big picture?

Tracking diamond prices is difficult because trends (or PS) might drive down the price of larger D IF VG and drive up the price of smaller G SI1 EX. A lot of people have something to sell and can always pick their date ranges and their 4C-combos to get the results they want to see. The upshot appears to be that prices did rise some but leveled off.
