Hi everyone!
In the market for an engagement ring and this site has been very helpful! I've been endlessly searching online for a Round Brilliant and am finding the process overwhelming trying to figure out what the best combination of the 4Cs is that I can obtain with my budget of approximately $3000-3500 for a diamond.

Could you please give me your opinion on this stone. I was quoted $3350 US from a diamond wholesaler.
I don't have any images of the stone. It scored a 1.0 on the Holloway Cut Adviser.
The seller advised that it is a Hearts and Arrows cut.

I found a comparable stone on James Allen for $2980 but it only scored a 3.0 on the HCA.

The more research I'm doing the more I'm inclined to purchase a diamond and ring online.

Thanks for your opinions!

That stone would be a 60/60 stone. A little different look but nothing wrong with them. Slimmer arrows usually.
Is it eye-clean? How close? The price is reasonable.

__________For educational purposes
EDIT - Just so you can see the difference between a 60-60 and a more traditional stone.

Here is an example of close to a 60-60 diamond. It rates an HCA 1.6.

Here is a more traditional tic stone that rates an HCA 1.5

The diamond looks good, but since you are not able to get pics of the diamond, I'd be concerned with where the cloud and crystal are in the diamond and whether it's eye-clean.

As far as comparable diamonds, with a quick search I found a couple of more diamonds on James Allen not just the one you found.

For pricing, I think you were quoted a price that is on par with diamonds online. I'm not sure if it's much of a "wholesale" price, but it is a fair price.

Thanks for the replies much appreciated I will look at the links provided!
