Hello everybody,

I have several color change sapphires and would like to know about what they are worth.
One is 5.5 Ct, emeral cut (12 x 7 mm) and changes from almost emerald green (like the best saturated but a bit too blue emeralds) to violet (color of usual amethyst) but is partkly glass filled (two cracks filled on the lower part). It is completely eye clean looking through the pavillon. The origin is Africa.

The other one is 5 Ct oval (10 x 9 mm) , Burmese, unheated and changes from "Burmese blue" (that is medium slightly greenish blue) to slighltly purplish violet. There is a cloud of silk in the middle but not disturbing. Both are certified.

I love color change stones and I think I bought these quite cheap but would like to have an indicaton of the value.

Thanks in advance

Well, you might get a hint here for free, but I''d rather have an appraiser''s opinion. It is not allot more expensive than "free" relative to the value of those two, as much as your descriptions allows to imagine them !

Unfortunately, there is no appraiser in France !
Someone must be doing jewelry valuation... and the estimate you get should fit the local market. So, Pricescope might just not be international enough, yet

One French gemologist is posting on this forum. Vincent Pardieu from AIGS (link). Since you mention unusual enhancement for one piece and meaningful origin for the other, I can only imagine that a gemological ID should be part of the evaluation, unless lab reports are already done.

I wish I knew more to help
