pretty and cheap temp settings for cushions?

I'll get around to posting what I'm up to soon. In the mean time can you help me find cheap settings that can potentially hold a square cushion? I'm hoping for white gold and under $300, ideally $200 or under. My favorite settings are low with an integrated head, but since this is temp anything somewhat pretty will do.

There's a seller on DB that has one that is like a Leon copy with split claws (the claws aren't Leon obviously) I'd look into that. A few people have bought from her and been very happy. Most her stuff is under 300 or lower (I think lower).

What you are describing sounds promising. Unfortunately I couldn't find anything that fits that kind of desciption just now when I did a search for "setting", "semi-mount", and "mounting".

Not sure yet, but upper 6mm to lower 7mm and it will be fairly square.

This must be what your talking about, it's lovely and about $300. The art carved setting it lovely too, but might be just a bit snug for the stone (but that's just my guess) and will need to be resized (I'm a size 4.25).

It *looks* like it could hold a cushion since it doesn't have v-prongs, but I'd have to call to make sure.

Nope, not bad at all. You need a good bench to finesse those prongs. The X prong isn't bad either.
