Posting pics and links from a Mac?

I am feeling like a total tech spaz here but to date I am not having a lot of luck posting pics and links. I have a Mac that I just got a couple of months ago and I can''t seem to work through how to do these useful things. For example, I would like to post a link for another poster who asked about cushions. When I get the the thread, all I can do is copy and paste and this is what I get: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/twins-a-cushion-for-me-and-a-cushion-for-mom.45066/

I see something on my Safari drop down that lets me e-mail a link to that page, but not to copy a link. What am I missing?

Would appreciate any advice.

The way to attach a link isn't in safari but right above the window where you type your reply to a post (where you can align your words, add bold text, etc.). You just click the button with the earth and link, paste the link in the box twice (or the first time you can enter a title instead which will be what shows up in your post) and that's it.

As for pictures, same thing, there is a button right above and to the left of your text box that says Attach File, click it, attach the picture (make sure it's small enough and has a unique name) and then hit upload.

That's it.

Strange, I have buttons for both in my safari browser (though I use firefox, I had to go check my safari). I''ll post pics in a bit...

This is what it looks like on my screen. Is that different from yours? Maybe you need to update safari (go to the apple icon on the top left of your screen and select "Software Update..."

gayle- for the image button to work you have to copy and paste and image that has already been uploaded onto pricescope. if you are wanting to add a picture that is not on here or on another website you have to usually put it in your iphoto and export it resizing it and giving it a unique name so it can be uploaded here.

does that make sense?
