can you really "see " hearts and arrows? I have been looking at diamonds for months now online and not so much in the stores and I have question that is probably going to have many of you shaking your heads, but  .. When you look at a Hearts and Arrows stone does do the hearts and arrows really show as such a contrast, or is that a by product of the way it is photographed??

You can only "see" arrows, when observing a diamond from a certain direction and with the correct light-environment.

In real life, it is not the seeing of the arrows that is important, it is the increased likelihood of observing more and better fire and scintillation that counts.

Live long,

Thank you!!

IMO, you can definitely see the arrows in office lighting. I was at an appraisers for several hours with a couple H&A diamonds, and the arrows were visible from pretty much any angle under his flourescent lighting. These were square H&As, not rounds, btw.
