What wonderful news! You must feel so much better than yesterday!

My colleagues (Ophthalmologists) next door told me that many, many people scratch their cornea due to improper cleaning of the contacts lenses, but the number of cases who actually lose eye sight from it is really quite small.

I am so glad the improvement is showing!

I just wanted to take the opportunity to thank you all for prayers and positive thoughts.

Today''s visit to the doctor was great. He will have a scar on his cornea, and his vision will be decreased, however, today he could see 20/40. Not bad for not being able to see out of his eye last week!!!

He continues with the medications and we dont have to go back daily.. that''s a nice thing!!!

No, his eye is as close to as good as its going to be. Not much more fluctuation I''m afraid. This 20/40 is with his current glasses.. with another prescription, he''ll see better. Unfortunately, we aren''t going to do that for a while, just for healing sake. She did say he would be able to wear contacts again though but at the first moment of problems, to take them out and get to the doctor.

This is great news, SDL! 20/40 is all it takes to be able to legally drive.

I''ve had several corneal injuries through the years and am about 20/40 with correction in both eyes. I''m doing just fine! He will too!!
