Hi again everyone. I decided to make a new topic due to the fact that I think I have tracked down what I''m looking for thanks to the helpful users of this forum!

As some of you know, I have been looking for a nice FIC within my price range (~$5k). With the help of some friendly folks on this board and a bit of digging, I''ve narrowed it down to these three diamonds (in no particular order):

Option 1

Option 2

Option 3

There are IS pics and Sarin info. in this thread for the 2nd and 3rd options. Blue Nile would not give me this information for their diamond although I have asked for pictures.

I''ve been working quite a bit with JamesAllen.com and they''ve been very helpful providing IdealScope images, etc. However, the Blue Nile stone also seems to be very nice, although I wish I could see it as I''m a bit concerned about the smaller table. The HCA says it''s spread is only ''Good'' although it does rate better than the others I''ve looked at.

All things considered (size, cut, color, clarity and "FICishness") which do you think is best? I have much more information about the James Allen diamonds and someone will be comparing them side by side over the phone with me next week. They are all within $200 of each other, so price is not an issue to me.

.96 for the 3rd time lol

Option 2 and 3 are no longer available...does this mean you grabbed up both and are viewing them to make your final decision?

@strmrdr, I thought you said the one with the 54% table was your favorite? ;-)

@monarch64, yes, as I mentioned in my post, I will be speaking with someone next week who is going to compare them for me side by side over the phone.

where? lol I don''t like the pavilion angle and without an IS image cant recommend it.
Id prefer a smaller table(54-55) all else being equal but it isnt... out of the options so far the .96 is the best compromise.

Sorry for the grumpy answer earlier, rough night.
see ya alls in the morning.

Er, I''d go with storm on this one, seriously.

i agree with storm''s points; the .96

option 3!!! It''s gorgeous and faces up larger than the others!

Ditto to all of the above! The .96 is the clear winner of these three.

Thanks so much everyone! I''m glad you''re all in agreement! I''m leaning towards the third one as well, but I''m a bit worried about it looking too yellow, but I had read on a post here at some point that some people think yellower diamonds have more fire, and fire is what I''m after! I was supposed to hear from James Allen today but they didn''t call me for some reason. Hopefully by tomorrow I''ll have made a decision!

.96!

Yellow??? Um no, a G color GIA diamond is not going to be yellow at all. And the color of the stone has ZERO to do with the fire. So just let that idea go!

I just got a GIA, G color stone and there is noooo waaaay it''s yellow.
