Hi Guys,

I have 3 stones that I am considering but I don''t know which one is the best deal. I want to get the most bang for my buck. Again, all 3 stones looked beautiful to me but I''m just an amateur. Please take a look at these specs and tell me which deal REALLY STANDS OUT??? Do I push for the smaller stones or hurt my wallet a little more and get the bigger stone. Thanks for your opinions guys.......very much appreciated.

GIA STONE 1 Stone 2 Stone 3
$8400 $12,200 $ 9500

Color/wt g 1.24 e 1.66 g 1.29

clarity vs2 si1 vs1

cut/polish/sym x/vg/vg x/x/vg x/x/x

depth/table/crown angle/pavillion 61.2/57%/33.5/41 61.8/57%/34/41.4 62.4/56%/35/41.2

Probably the first one.

Only stone 1 is worth considering.

I apologize for the alignment....i reposted a revised version with better alignment.

Which stone? The biggest one??

No, the 1.24 G VS2 stone is the best cut of the three.

thanks diamond seeker...but they r all excellent cuts.....excuse me if i sound ignorant?

Just that GIA excellent cuts includes some cuts that leaks light, so not ideal to what we expects from ideal cuts.

To weed out bad performers in GIA ex cuts, use this https://www.pricescope.com/cutadviser.asp.

the first stone gave me the best outcome from cutadvisor.......on top of that.....it''s the friendliest on my wallet.....that is my top pick right now....but was wondering if it''s a good deal or can i get a similar or better stone for a better price.....DOES THE DEAL JUMP OUT AT U???????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I REPOSTED THIS TOPIC BUT WITH BETTER ALIGNMENT SO THAT YOU CAN MAKE THE COMPARISONS A LITTLE EASIER...SORRY ABOUT THE INCONVENIENCE.

The price seems okay...not great and not bad. You''d pay a little more for superideal cut, but this price seems in line with the stone specs.

To try to answer your question, GIA cut grade is broad and allows for some less desirable proportion combos such as what we call steep deep with the crown and pavilion angles which can result in light leakage to receive the Excellent grade. Also GIA do not use the term Ideal, Excellent is their highest cut grade.

so we all agree...the first stone is the BEST in terms of DEAL and QUALITY

Out of the ones you have it is the smallest but best cut going by the info provided.
