Please help newbie w/ cushion cut

Hi all,

This is my first post but have been lurking for about a month trying to educate myself on the cushion cut. My girlfriend loves the Tiffany Legacy diamond but since we''re just starting out the real ring is well beyond our means so I''ve been attempting to find something relatively close...

Given that cushions seem to be difficult to judge by the numbers I was hoping to get the experts opinions on the following diamond that I''ve found online (I will attach the 10x picture and scope):

Agreed! You can do better than the one you posted...and just FYI, the legacy is a square stone, so you might want to stay closer to a 1:1 ratio if that is the look you are going for. HTH!

Mrs.S and Neatfreak have amazing cushions with Ex/Ex polish/symmetry ratings that are cut in a different style than the one you've posted. You can do a search for their photos and see the difference in cut style and performance. To find one like theirs, you'll want the pavilion plot on the cert to look like the bottom right image on the attached chart. Jon at GoG and Mark at ERD are great at finding cushions for people.

thanks for the feedback, i was not very excited about the stone either so was looking for confirmation from those with more experience.

i will definitely spend some more time looking and appreciate the GOG recommendation!
