My mom has had these pearls for about 40 years and doesn’t know anything about them other than she “bought them from a jeweler on 8 mile for $1,000”. They were purchased from a reputable jeweler my family used many times but has been out of business for many years, I was just phrasing it the way she did for fun. I recently became interested in opals and pearls so I dug them out to have a look. I honestly don’t know enough (even with all my searches) to say for certain if they are real or not. They feel rough on my tooth, reflect my face with pretty good detail, have the type of knot loop piece that connects them to the clasp that real pearls are supposed to and have flaws that look like the ones I’ve seen on google so I think they are but what kind or quality is a mystery. I tried to get good shots so I hope they’re visible enough. I’d really love if I could get any opinions!
