I totally feel like the PS Bride who cried "Dress!!" because I''ve had about 3 dress threads already. Sorry about that. Apparently I am fickle about my wedding gown. Me thinks it has something to do with the vast amount of time I have to find the one for me.

I visited a consignment bridal shop near my home yesterday to see what they had. I love the idea of this place because I can all of a sudden afford couture bridal without the price tag! Most of them are samples but some were actually worn in a wedding.

I tried this one gown that was pleasantly surprising. It wasn''t anything I though I''d go for originally but it suited me and the SA loved it.

Its a Michelle Roth or a Henry Roth design (I made the mistake of not looking at the tag in the dress)
Silk satin, strapless, beaded empire waist and drop waist. Slight ruching around midsection (just a few folds of fabric). A-line skirt.

All of the pics are camera phone pics.
In the first pic the gown was drooping a little on me because it needs to be taken in a smidge at the top. I had forgotten to pull it up to where it should be before she took the pic.

If anyone can come up with the style# and a model pic that would be fantastic! I haven''t had much luck so far.

The back. There are broaches on the pick ups. There are faux buttons on the back that are covered in sparkles.

That's a beautiful, sleek dress! Is the price at the consignment shop OK? It looks like it fits you very nicely; is it an option just to buy it at the shop?

From a quick look through the websites, it looks to be more in the style of Henry Roth than Michelle Roth. Could you email the people at Henry Roth to see if they recognize it as an older style and might send you more info?

ETA: Wait a sec, I think I got it! Is this it? No style number, but at least you have a season and runway pics.

You''re a "star", jstarfireb!! Thats it!

The price at the store was 1/2 off. Its in great shape and I do think its pretty. I think that in the next week it will become more clear what sort of style wedding we will have. It might be too formal for our New England lobster boil concept but would be perfect for our sea-side cocktail/heavy apps reception.

Woot for you!! Thanks so much. I just want to be able to show my mother this so I can tell her what its supposed to look like when its fitted properly.

No problem...let us know what you decide! It looks great on you.

Ohmigosh, that dress looks stunning on you! I googled Michelle Roth and Henry Roth and I did not see that particular dress on either site. I''m not sure where else to look!

The more dress threads the better! LOL!

It looks like a pretty dress. I love the shape and simplicity. I am sure that when it gets altered [looks like you might want to add some more boning?] it will look perfect on your great figure.

Since I''ve been flip flopping so much on the dress stuff I showed FI this gown (not the photos of me in it, the model shots) and the other top choice Mon Cheri Antoinette. There is a close up shot of the bust and details on that link. He really liked them both. I''m tempted to toss tradition out the window and take him shopping with me.

They are so totally different. My friend loved me in the MC dress. I hate the shot of the model because its too short for her IMO. The store I tried on the MC dress in didn''t allow pics. Though, they don''t go into the dressing room with you so next time I''m in there I am so totally sneaking shots of myself in the dressing room.

i see someone else found it... but i was so excited when i was looking for pew decor and i found it too.. hehehe here is the link just scroll down to brides attire! :-)

oh and i took my FI shopping with me.. he thought he would hate it and actually loved it :-)

ok nvm... it looked identical in my mind... haha silly BB but its pretty !

BB- I was actually thinking of you when I tried on this gown. It reminded me of that Kenneth Pool dress you tried on. I actually tried on a KP gown too but it wasn''t quite my style. Similar material though.

I wish I didn''t feel so wishy washy about dresses! There are SO MANY lovely ones out there. I have no idea how I will settle on JUST ONE!!

Clairitek you look beautiful in that dress and I am sure you look stunning in the other as well.

I have a gown appointment on Friday that I''m going to with my FMIL. I am tempted to take FI with us. Though, I kind of just want to go alone with him too. We''ll see. I think elrowhen took her FI with her as well. If I do take FI with me I''m not sure I will let him know what I finally choose for the day and I am going to do my best to not share pics with anyone but my mother and FMIL and MOHs. Gotta have some surprises!

Do you think that they are paper or silk flowers? It appears that she made them before her wedding so that makes me think that they aren''t real flowers. My best guess is paper flowers.

I think you might be right, I looked at them closer and I am pretty sure you can see little threads, interesting.

Thanks Claire :D
