I have the following stone in a tiffany setting presently:
Marquise cut
7.22 x 3.59 x 2.49
.40 ct
SI 1
E color
good polish, good symmetry
What I''m looking for is a setting that sits the stone low, makes it look more like it''s "part of the ring rather than just on display by a band," does not entirely enclose the stone, isn''t really round on the top of the band, and is not too thin (getting thicker toward the stone). I was hoping someone might have some ideas as to what settings might best display this stone and fit these criteria. She doesn''t know about the ring yet, so I can''t really get too much more information than that. I am rather unversed in settings because I''ve spent so much time trying to find the right diamond, so I was hoping for some direction.
