Please help me find a black pearl bracelet!

Oh great PS shopping gurus! I need one of those elastic (slip over the hand) pearl bracelets as a Christmas gift. Hoping for "black," but when I say black I really mean different colored dark pearls with color variations (purplish, greenish, etc.). Also hoping not to spend a fortune... I see a bunch of options on the internet, but the reviews about quality are rather scary, so I trust you guys more. Any recommendations are MUCH appreciated!

Hi DeeJay - I'd suggest writing to Catherine Cardellini and ask her to string the bracelet you want onto jewelers' elastic. She makes elastic bracelets for dolls, so I'm sure it is possible to make them full size. Take a look at the awesome variety of pearls she uses. I added a picture of the bracelet I purchased which has dyed black double baroques.

Yes, I agree Catherine is the way to go on that one. She has a wide selection and can make you something specific. That's if you're looking for freshwater pearls.

Are you thinking Tahitians?

If so, I like this guy, his prices are reasonable, but Tahitians are pretty pricey. He strings them upon purchase, so if you want stretchy cord, I'm sure they can do that

Sarah also has bracelets, and in another section of her website, she has strands. She can make a bracelet for you if you like a particular strand. With the leftover pearls (from the strand) she can make one for you to keep!
