Seriously, what do you think? This is my engagement stone and my boyfriend picked it out with a lot of love. It is very pretty. I did, however, spend a lot of time researching and learning all about ideal cut and super ideal cut stones and was able to see a few before he proposed. We just got the cert today and before I even saw it I could see many of the inclusions with the naked eye. I''ve also picked up on the flour. We are considering a whiteflash stone instead -- either an ACA or an expert selection (for price considerations) and I''m wondering if you think it may be worth it. My fiance (yay!) is a little bit upset but understands and wants me to be as happy as possible with the ring I will wear for the rest of my life. Any and all input is welcome.

Im not sure what to tell you that you dont allready know.
The cut isnt ideal - too deep.
The inclusions are eye visible.
You dont love it but love what it represents.
He is willing to let you change it.
whiteflash is a good vendor as are several others here.

The two of you have to decide whats right for you.
Sorry if this isnt much help.

A 2.00 should measure approximately 8.2 mm this diamond is 8.0. I would say your picking out a deep stone which are lower in price.

Dont let price be your motivator.

Remember a diamond is forever and so is ugly.

I looked at stones yesterday and was surprised that I could see the inclusions in the SI2s I looked at and could not see the SI1s. DH is really funny about clarity and bought a VS1 11 years ago... he is not so sure that he wants to live with an SI1 unless it is really, really clean to his eye.

I am curious though about you not liking the fluorescence... I happen to prefer it. Does that make me weird?

What did you see that you didn''t like w/ regards to the stone''s fluor.?
