Hi. I'm trying to decide between 2 diamonds. They are both eye clean though the 2.08 has better placement of the inclusions. Diamond 1 is about $2000 more. I would love to have the larger carat weight but my current diamond is a D color so I'm worried that an F won't be white enough. Please share your thoughts on Fs.

Diamond 1:
2.33 F/VS2 8.46x8.49x5.26
GIA triple ex
Table 56
CA 35
PA 40.8
Depth 62
Fluorescence None

Diamond 2:
2.08 E/VS2 8.23x8.29x5.05
GIA triple ex
Table 57
CA 35
PA 40.8
Depth 61.2
Fluorescence Faint
HCA 1.6

Thanks!

both should be great stones- just depends on what is more important to you- the size or color. There shouldn't be too much of a noticable difference between a D and F since they are both considered colorless.

F is very white at least to me, and unless you are wearing it next to a D, I don't think you could see color. There won't be that much difference in E and F, so go with the F if you want to maximize size. If you don't like it, you can return it!

In the overall scheme of things, if you are purchasing a 2+ ct diamond, $2K isn't enough to sway the purchase (Just me talking thru YOUR credit card!!) and since you had mentioned size first vs colour... I'd be inclined to go with the size as the deciding factor. IMO, E vs F is not noticeable enough for me to rule out the F. But... perhaps the inclusion is.
