I mentioned in the projects in progress thread that I enjoy wearing my lavender spinel ring made by Holly Hague Design so much that I am having Holly make two more rings for my stones.
I could really use help narrowing down my enamel color options for my pink garnet ring. Holly sent me the three color combinations that she thought would work best, and then there are two color placement options for each color combo. I’d love to hear your opinions :)) .
Here is a picture of a finished ring in the design I’m using for the pink garnet for reference.

And my pink garnet, pictured with my mint tourmaline she is setting in different design (I forgot to take a picture of the garnet before sending it to her)

Here are my enamel options. I’ve labeled each one to make it easier to tell me your favorite:))

Option 1B

Ooooooh, how fun! It is so difficult, as all options are gorgeous. I would vote option 3A based on the assumption you will be setting the other green one in a similar way, just to make them different. But you can't go wrong with any of these, imo. So pretty.

Thank you @Mrs_Strizzle ! I like 3A too, but then again I like them all :)). I hadn’t even thought of an option with black enamel, but was pleasantly surprised when Holly sent it to me. I am not generally a pink girl, though this pink garnet speaks to me, and the black adds edgy-ness that I like to the pink color.
Here is the design I am going with for the mint tourmaline and the render for the tourmaline ring for reference.

1A or 1B because the pink enamel carries on the colour of the stone so the ring looks joined up (if that makes sense).

Whilst I like the drama of the black enamel, to my eye it takes the focus away from the central stone.

2A for me as I like the pink stone to be the dominant colour in this design.

Fun beautiful projects! I am hoping to do an enamel ring project with Holly within the next few months - I love her work and her aesthetic!

For your pink stone, golly both 3A and 3B are super cool and gorgeous, with 3A slightly edging out 3B for me, but if you are going pastel, my vote goes to 1A.

Your mint tourmaline ring design/enamel colors are perfect - I am so looking forward to seeing your finished piece(s)!!

I like the art deco vibe of 3B. Or 1A for a summery look.

I like 3B, 1A, 1B in that order. 3A doesn't really work for me because there's not enough contrast between the gray and the black in that "leaf" shape, and the geometric shape is what my eye focuses on instead of the center stone. I think 1B is much better and more complementary if you want to emphasize the leaf shape without taking the focus away from the center stone, and 3B and 1A are lovely as well, emphasizing the rounded "droplet" shape more so than the leaf shape. Hope my words make sense and I'm not just babbling and confusing.

I can see your point on the black enamel drawing focus away from the soft pink stone. Thank you!

I like that one too for the same reason. Thanks!

1b for me - but they are all gorgeous.
I think that one is one of my top contenders. Thank you!

I like them all :)

Thank you! I’ll be sure to post the finished pieces :))

Those are all great choices! Thank you! I love the ombre color flow of the mint tourmaline ring too. I’ll update with the finished pieces. I hope to see your project when you work on it too!

I think I need to figure out if I want a Art Deco or more of a pastel/summery look. Thank you!

You always make perfect sense to me :)). Those are great points! Thanks!

3A. Pink and black are a great combo...girly ~but with an edge.
Thank you! There has been a lot of love for the pink/black combo. I like it too!

1B. I like the rose color away from the pink stone. And the dark looks too severe for a delicate-hued stone, imo; my eye goes right to the enamel and not the centerpiece. I feel like you could put awhite diamond in 3B.

Omg this is so fun! All beautiful but I vote for 1b. It brings out the pink in the center beautifully.

I picked 1b followed by 2b. I think the ones with greens and blues are more flattering to the garnet than the ones with black.

What a cool project. Honestly, all of them look great, so it's probably just a personal preference thing.

I'm drawn most to 2B and 3B, but that's just me.

As a side note @2Neezers , have you been happy with the quality of the work? I have an aquamarine I'm getting ready to send to her.

I’m very happy with the quality of the work on the spinel ring I’ve already received. An aquamarine project sounds exciting!

I like 1a the best. 1b second. I also think the black draws away from the center stone. I like the touches of pink for continuity.

1A and 3B for the pink enamel next to the pink stone. But you can't go wrong with any of them - look at the variety of preferences on this thread!
The tourmaline looks killer, too.
