Which one should I choose from the following? The fluro throws me off its where it says medium/none/faint. Which is the best value.

This is for a pendant necklace.
Fluro
0.31 G SI1 Ideal 61.1%/56% Medium EX/EX GIA $526.00
0.32 F SI1 Ideal 60.7%/57% None G/VG GIA $532.00
0.30 E SI1 Ideal 62.5%/56% Faint VG/G GIA $542.00
0.30 G VS2 Ideal 62.4%/55% None G/VG GIA $548.00
0.30 D SI1 Ideal 61.8%/57% None G/G GIA $579.00

Thanks -- Pls help -- need to buy quick.

I've found these two also, this is so hard to decide, any expert opinion?

0.31 G SI1 Ideal 61.1%/55% Negligible ID/EX AGSL $555.00

0.32 G SI1 Ideal 61.7%/53% None EX/VG GIA $563.00

Why are you concerned about the flourescence?

I have a G with medium blue flourescence and it's gorgeous.

i dont know - some ppl are scaring me abt buying fluroscent

Don't be scared of flourscence. A small percentage of stones with flourescence (usually strong) show a milky or oily appearance in bright sunlight, but that is very rare. Your dealer should be able to assure you that this is not the case with your stone.

yeah

this one has med fluroscent with color g - i t think ill go with this one, thks

If you're worried about fluorescence, do a search on the term here for more info. Bottom line, you should have no prob with medium blue fluor.

I bought the one with med florescent.

Great! Let us know when you get it and be sure to post pictures.

Patty is 100% right & I actually prefer flourescence in my diamonds....I certainly wouldn't pass on a diamond you love b/c of flourescence...People are always saying how sparkly my diamonds are...I truly believe it is because most have med-strong flourescence...

In very rare cases, strong flourescence can produce a milky appearance in a stone, esp in sunlight, but this is so rare; I have yet to see a stone like this in all my jewelry travails.

Hey ju421019

What cut is the diamond you’re looking for?

In my opinion i would recommend
0.30 D SI1 Ideal 61.8%/57% None G/G GIA $579.00
for 4 reasons
1. Its a D color, color is the first thing that catches your eye
2. It has good measurements, ask for a copy of the cert
3. its non-flour( on a stone this size is not a major +, its certainly something to consider when making a final decision)
4. Its certified by a credible laboratory

*The diamonds brilliance and fire depend on the cut and measurements, faint flour does not have a drastic effect on the appearance of the stone, only when a stone is Strong Blue and experienced eye can see the milkiness.

if the stone is eye clean, meaning you cant see inclusions with a naked eye on the table, grab it. you’ll enjoy looking at it every time.
2nd choice would be 0.32 F SI1 Ideal 60.7%/57% None G/VG GIA $532.00
3rd choice would be 0.30 E SI1 Ideal 62.5%/56% Faint VG/G GIA $542.00

at the end the decision is yours, make a smart choice.

On this size diamond, you can easily go J and no one will know.

2. It has good measurements, ask for a copy of the cert

How can you know? The diameter and depth weren't posted. When anyone buys a Certed diamond, the buyer should get the ORIGINAL copy of the Cert.

3. its non-flour( on a stone this size is not a major +, its certainly something to consider when making a final decision)

4. Its certified by a credible laboratory

A picture can be worth a thousand words.

I went with the first one:

0.31 G SI1 Ideal 61.1%/56% Medium EX/EX GIA $526.00

Given those choices I too would have chosen the first one! Great choice.

I love G color and with med blue fluor that should be a stunner!! You aren't really compromising here at all in my opinion.

The EX/EX really stands out amongst the other G/G and VG/G, especially in light of the table and depth you posted which are very nice as well. Thirdly, GIA is a reputable lab and 4th its the cheapest and for a great size!

I would not buy a small stone like this in a D or E color because the stone is small enough for people to just notice a pinpoint on the neck anyway. I have a .38c H stone and it's a white dot on my neck. So why overspend on a super clear stone? Plus that G with med fluor will be FUN.

Congrats and please post pictures!!
