Please help! (Choosing between two diamonds)

Hi, this is my very first posting here.

Would you look at the specs of the following stones and tell me which one is the better one? (are the prices fair??)

(1) Round brilliant, 6.86X6.89X4.17mm, 1.20 carat, G, VS2, Excellent cut grade (GIA), Excellent Polish and Symmetry, no fluorescence, table 58%, depth 60.7%, crown angle 35, pav angle 40.8, culet (none), Girdle (thin-med), Price $9175

(2) Round brilliant, 6.94x6.98x4.18mm, 1.21 carat, G, VS2, Excellent cut grade (GIA), Excellent Polish and Symmetry, no fluorescence, table 57%, depth 60.1%, crown angle 34, pav angle 41.2, culet (very small, 0.7%), Girdle (thin-med), Price $9556

I''m looking for a very sparkling stone.
I''ve run the specs in the Holloway Cut Performance calculator...it seems that (1) gives a better rating than (2): 1.6 vs. 2.8. But I don''t know how reliable the ratings are. Are they reliable? I mean, if I can''t see the stone before buying them, can I rely on the 1.6 score, i.e., expect it to be a really brilliant stone???

The second diamond may be getting dinged by the HCA as it has a steeper pavillion angle. I would ask the vendor for an Idealscope image for both diamonds. The HCA individual scores don''t mean that one score is better than another, with a score below 2 means you have eliminated most poor performers. Once you score below 2, you need other aids such as an Idealscope image etc to narrow down further.

Yep.

Ditto getting an IS if you can. Both have potential!
