Two options from BN:

#1 1.26 Round, F, VVS1, Ex. Polish and Symmetry, No Fluorescence, 61.3, 56, 35, 40.8, 1.5 HCA, $12,075

#2 1.27 Round, F, VS1, Ex. Polish and Symmetry, No Fluorescence, 61.3, 56, 35, 40.6, .8 HCA, $11,247

Both GIA reports had very few marks as inclusions, the VVS1 had only a few pinpoints. I''ve included links if more information is needed.

Thank you!

Hi mk, they both have potential! We can't really say much more without pics, which BN doesn't provide. But no red flags so far.

Is there any particular reason for the rather high clarity?

I am nervous after reading through many posts of visible inclusions in VS2 stones. And most of the diagrams on the GIA reports for VS2 have many marks for clouds, feathers, etc. Should I reconsider based on the carat size?

VS2 stones are generally eye clean. You can also find SI1 stones that are eye clean. As long as you can''t see the inclusions and they don''t pose a risk to the stone, buying a slightly lower clarity can be a great way to save a little. Personal choice, of course.

Yes, it's like 1 in 100 that "might" have eagle eye vision and see a VS2 inclusion. On an AGS/GIA graded stone.

Since you're working with BN, I might not recommend an SI1, just because several people have been told their stone was eyeclean, only to find out it wasn't. That just wastes time and shipping costs.

Would you consider buying from another reputable vendor? If so, we could possibly find you a nice eyeclean SI1, somewhere where there is a good track record on stones being what they should be. And, we could get an idealscope pic, which makes things easier too.

ETA Don't let the plot pics scare you, they are not representitive at all of what the stone looks like in real life. Each one needs to be looked at in person.

Thanks, Ellen. I purchased earrings from BN and the quality, price (compared to local merchants) and service was great. I will expand my search to include VS2 stones.

No problem, and good luck! We''re here if you need any further help.
