I just read the review about platinummfg.com, and it doesn''t look good (some negative feedback was recently erased!!)! Also, trying to contact them is a disappointing experience! Are there only negative experiences with them?
My sister ordered from them. The communication was awful, and she was beginning to give up and thinking about stopping payment when the ring came - two weeks later than promised. But when it did come, it was beautiful, very good quality, and the price was great. So I don't know if the hassle is ultimately worth it. For us, it wasn't - we got a Tacori instead.
Just a little off topic, but you mentioned erasing negative feedback. How is that possible? Just curious because an online diamond company that I had a suspicious incident with had a negative feedback from a customer and then a week later it was gone and their rating was back to 100%. Huh? I know feedback can be mutually withdrawn, but that is usually indicated in the comments section. Luckily for me, I was able to finally get my money safely back in my bank and find PS which led me to DCD and a positive experience.
Okay, I need to retract the above! Somehow I made a mistake: Platinummfg.com did NOT remove the negative posting/feedback on their website; that was MY ERROR! The disatisfied cutomer posting is still there , and I apologize for inaccurately accusing them of doing such a thing.
I am still not convinced 100% to go with them after reading most of the feedback here (I'm leery about on-line purchase overall, anyway, call me old-fashioned..)...any more feedback would be great.
