Places to stay in Santorini, help!

So I''ve been so focused on booking on our honeymoon flights for this June that I didn''t get on top of booking the hotels until now and our first choice of hotel the Ikies Traditional Houses is booked for our June trip.

I''m on trip advisor asking the local experts as well but I was wondering if anyone here had gone to Oia, Santorini and had a recommendation for a great honehymoon place to stay. I really wanted to try and find a place with our own private hot tub which doesn''t look likely right now.

Any recommendations would be a great help!

No recs...just stopping by this thread to say please, please, please post pics upon your return! Dorky, I know, but I just Netflixed the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 and I watched all the extras just to see more of Santorini. Gorgeous...what a perfect honeymoon destination.

I''m definitely excited but I''m a bit floored but how insanely expensive the hotels are. If I move my dates around I can get rooms at the Ikies so I may do that while I''m in the islands but I would dearly like to stay two ''reasonably'' priced nights in Oia in the beginning before we pay a ton to stay the following four nights!

And yes I hope Haven sees this!

I wish I could help, but we didn''t stay on Santorini because we took a cruise ship there.
My dear friend is honeymooning there in July, and she and her FI are both Greek, so I just sent them both emails requesting recommendations. I''ll let you know as soon as I hear back from them!

(And I cannot tell you how jealous I am. It is so incredible there.)

I hope the weather is nice when we go. We''ll be there the first week in June.

So far we''re hoping to stay at the Delfino Hotel, the Ikies Traditonal Houses and Villa Renos.

Violet, here''s the email I received from one of my Greek friends who is honeymooning in Santorini this summer:

There are really great deals, however, if you want to stay on the outskirts of the island so that you have a view of the caldera, it will cost you some. Where we are staying, and in my opinion the best deal and an incredible view, is a place called Hotel Keti

There are cheaper deals where you pay 50 euros a night but you are in town and you have absolutely no views. There are only 7 suites for the entire place so be sure to tell her to book early!"

I was in Santorini in the middle of June and the weather was perfect.

Le Sirenuse, where we stayed in Positano, is a member, and the service, rooms, everything was just top notch.

yay im so excited for you violet

i was there in september and stayed at a place, i think it was called the crater rim? it had a gorgeous pool...my boyfriend, and our friend splurged for it (we were backpacking!) so i think its prolly a little less pricey than some of the ones there. we were in what i guess would be a dodgy room - no view - but i think some of the others would have been very impressive!!

are you going to any other islands? i can recommend naxos and kefalonia!! they''re both fantastic for different reasons...

Our friends stayed at the Katikies and Canaves and liked both a lot. They are both very pricey though! If we don''t get the Ikies then I''ll try for one of those. I''m still undecided on my more reasonably priced hotel since we''re only doing luxury hotel for four days.
