Pictures of my mom's OEC

I was at mom's a couple of weeks ago and was playing with my camera so I decided to take some pictures of her ring...I had to clean it first it was filthy

Mom's per her cert (from my memory for whats worth lol) is a OEC 1.98 ct, VVS1, K colored..it's hard to catch the color on it head on, you can see from the side pretty easily though, the very dated setting has another 1 ct of baguettes...not well cut or nice, but mom loves the setting...it is what it is....

here are some more, the bottom is my ring, 1 ct princess, I color and SI2...its very steep

couple more, my band is a 5 stone, .75 ct, F color, VS1...I had it reset to add two small blue treated diamonds...didnt come out so well, I will have to reset again one day, this is all...figured pictures have been slow on here so why not share what I have, not the best pictures but better then some I have had in the past.

Thanks, I been trying to talk my mom into changing her setting into something that will show off her beautiful diamond better, but so far she hasnt budged....I will keep trying lol

If your mom loves her setting then let her enjoy it. It might not be your taste but it means something to her. If you keep bringing it up you may make her unhappy with her setting but a new one likely won't be what she really wants.

It's not an OEC. Its high crown is similar to OEC proportions, but it has brilliant faceting, not OEC faceting, making it not an OEC.

It's your love of bling and love for your mom that makes you want her to have the best. That is never a bad thing. Of course, it's your business, you are her daughter! That's what daughters do!

I love that she loves it, and it looks great on her. The style is a little dated, but looks great on her! Sometimes those older styles can still make hearts sing!
