The boys are hogging the tv and playing some age of empires video game, not my thang
so i got some wedding stuff done
i think/hope these flowers will look good with my dress and the bridesmaids color
let me know what you think, im worried about the green leaves looking weird against the bridesmaids dress color
for the life of me i cannot find a dark green bouquet that has flowers in autumn, any suggestions would be much appreciated :)

I think they are really lovely- not overstated

Are you and the bridesmaids all having the same flowers?

i thought about having the same flowers. I''ve seen it where the bride has the larger bouquet and it''s a bit more fancy and then the bridesmaid flowers are more simple. My sister did something like that at her wedding I think, she had so many flowers in all of our bouquets that I couldn''t tell though!

I LOVE calla lilies so I think they look great! Also, your BM''s can just have three long stem lilies, and I think that would look classy and lovely! Less is more in that situation.

Is that the color you ordered your dress is? I honestly am not crazy about the color of callas against white dresses--it makes them look very yellow to me. I have noticed this at several weddings I have been to, and it always bothers me. I love the flower for sure, but not against white because it just cannot be as white as a wedding gown. I might put in an accent color to pop the whiteness or see if other shades/dyes of callas may be available.

yup that actually IS the dress we got, they sell them right off the rack at our store. i like the idea of green orchids a lot too, are those seasonal flowers?

i photoshopped the green orchids in here
not sure how crazy i am about those fun flowers with the fancy dress- opinions?

Smurfy-are you opposed to doing a variety of flowers? I am doing almost the same color scheme. My bouquet will be mostly white flowers but with some white cymbidium orchids and a little bit of greenery. I don''t have a photo yet but thought I would throw that out there!

ok here it is with green and white roses
if this looks ok i think it would still look nice to have the bms carry the calla lilies
what do you guys think?

blair, im open to pretty much anything right now
its just a tricky bm dress color to work this, gah!

Smurfy, here are a couple suggestions you might like. I think this first one fits well with the colors you''ve chosen. Oh, and with anything you choose, I think your bridesmaids can definitely carry callas.

I had to post this ''cause it looked just like the one you put together with the green cymbidiums and your dress. I personally think it looks great--but I might just be biased because my own bouquet will likely be green cymbidiums

I thought you might like this one with a green ribbon that matched one of the shades you''re using.

lol kittybean
i actually had thought about that first picture when i saw it online but i was worried the flowers wouldnt be in season in the fall
is that an autumn bouquet?

I have the green orchids in my boquet and I'm also having a fall wedding. I don't think you'll have a problem getting them but they are a little pricey. I'll look and see what else I can find for you...

ETA: I know you like the dark green and I personally love one type of flower bouquets. What about doing all green goddess calla lillies. While I love the orchids as they will also be part of my flowers I'm concerned that you'd be adding another green to your scheme. The green orchids are more of a lime color. That will be entirely up to you.

What about these guys? They have both the greens!!!

Good find EM1!

hey em, i had the same concern you mentioned about adding another green

i do like the idea of using the daisies though (i love daisies but never really thought to use them as a wedding flower) i feel like im being too picky haha i just dont want it to look weird

do they dye roses dark green? I used to work in a floral shop and they had a special spray they could use to turn flowers different colors but i wonder if that would look really unnatural. I also considered ferns but worry they wouldn''t be a dark enough green?

Am I just going crazy?? lol

I love this bouquet with stephanotis (with jeweled centers) and mini calla lilies. I think the stephanotis adds a bit of elegance.

I also don''t think calla lilies look as creamy in person against a white dress as the photoshopped images make them appear.

I couldn''t find pictures of the green on your bm''s dresses, though admittedly I didn''t search *too* hard. lol

Hi smurfy! Just wanted to answer with my limited knowledge of green roses..I am going to have green roses in my bouquet and they didn''t *look* dyed (doesn''t mean they weren''t), but they were almost like a light grass green color..not dark green in my experience.

thanks sarah :)

also my girls dont have dresses yet, they''re all picking their own but theyve still got 11 months, heres the color of it though :)

Here are a few more bouquets that tie in the greens..these are all pulled from flowersbysemia.com

Here''s another one.

One more. Not sure if these are the right greens, but hopefully they will give you some ideas.

thank you sap for all the great information, that blog definitely helped :)

Hey, is there are reason you''re after green??? You can get something called a "green goddess lilly" which is like this but the flower is green as well. Cymbidium orchids usually flower in autumn/winter, and come in SOOOOO many different shades of green. I think maron would also look nice with that fabric.
