What do you guys think? The only issue I have with this stone is that it has a flaw near the edge on one side of the diamond. It''s not visible by eye, but is clearly visible with a loupe.

The price looks fine, but the stone is cut a tad too deep for my tastes.

so what depth would be considered great or acceptable? the stone i bought sits at 62 depth and has a 56.9 table.

coolspot, if you can''t see the inclusions without a loupe then you are good to go! I asked a similar question and I think you just need to look at the stone and if you like it, keep it, if you don''t, then send it back! kinda reminds me of fishing!

hopefully that helps!

The depth on the cert is 62.9%

I like to keep depth at 60-62 and the table between 54-57. Stones can have nice performance between 62-63%, but they face up smaller than their carat weight and you are paying for the carat weight.

I will add, a lot of times, but not always.

That''s true ellen, sometimes they are discounted since they are facing up smaller. Good add.

lol I didn''t even know that. What I meant to say was, sometimes even though they''re a bit deep, they still face up as they should.

But thanks k, I learned somethin new.
