BOTH settings would be in platinum.

BTW, WF said they could make me the BGD one and put it on their site, and perhaps I could even name it :appl:

I'm really trying to keep the price down, but the difference in savings is only around $600 for extra diamonds on the side.
$1250 for the first one, and $1875 for the second one. Would would you do?

I love the Legato, it's one of my faves, but the tapered shank means that the WR will not sit flush, unless it is also custom with a divot. That's something to keep in mind.

For the BGD setting, I prefer Mark Morrell's flame setting. If you're trying to keep the cost down, I would not go to Mark, however.

I think the real question is, do you want pave or not? I like the simplicity of the first one, but I like simple. ;)

I have a bias toward pave settings but with a 0.75 stone the first setting (no pave) would make your diamond stand out more. Keep it simple would be my advice.

I don't really understand what you mean. What is "WR" ? I wanted a six prong.

Think she meant "WR" = wedding ring

really two different style think about a wedding ring or band. The plain ring is my first pick, would be my choice as most/many wedding ring will go with a plain solitaire, but the second ring, it really depends what/how you want to pair with a wedding ring- matching?

wedding ring = WR

the poster is saying that with the tapered look- your wedding band and engagement ring won't sit right up againt each other- there will be a small gap where the engagment ring is tapered.

big question is do you or do you not want side stones/pave?

Well, they're very different and I like both of them. Do you want to go for a simpler look or a more blingy one?

If I was choosing for myself, I'd probably go with the WF, partly because I like the prongs better. Either way though, you can't go wrong.

I like the fluidity of the first setting. Let the diamond speak for itself.

Given a choice of those two I prefer the BGD one. I do like a setting with sidestones better but not that one. I really like the Mark Morrell Flame settings.

Keep it simple.... plain is top of the top for me!

Personally i would go with the BGD setting. If gives you so much more diversity with WR. That way if you want to have more bling you can also just have a blinger band.

I'd add 600 to my diamond budget and go with the lower priced setting. 600 might give you another 2mm in that size diamond. Especially if you went with an ES instead of an ACA.

That part above bothers me...
