There are several quoted ranges of dimensions for the best-cut Princess diamonds, but I''m curious as to what are perfect proportions?

Somewhere around the following would seem to be a logical conclusion, but am I making too many assumptions?

Table: 65%
Depth: 70%
Crown: 13%
L:W: 1.00-1.03

Thanks,
FB

I think you would find there are various proportions which can result in a great looking Princess or AGS0 graded Princess if we are using that as an example of the gold standard. Images such as ASET are essential in order to be able to judge these diamonds for optical qualities, beauty and performance as numbers often only give you a wireframe outline of the diamond. Here are some articles you might enjoy written by expert Paul Slegers.

The funny things about proportions is that they can still yeild an ugly stone. I gave up in focusing too much on numbers and just went with AGS grading and light performance.
