I know most of you favor RB cut generally but what about other "fancy" shapes for pendants? I''m looking at a fairly large oval which would be used as a pendant (very simple setting)

Ovals can make lovely pendants. I also really like pears suspended from the point like a dew drop. I also think it would look cool to have a princess or other square stone put in a pendant so that the stone is on the diagonal.

Pear shape would be my second choice aside from a RB. I'd love a nice one carat pear in a simple setting.

I'd love a regent pendant, rather like Mara's.

I second Kay's response. I think a pear hung like a dew drop is just gorgeous and classy.

Pear!

Or Regent.

I really like pear pendants!

Another vote for the pear! I also like the look of square shapes hung along a tip so they have a diamond-shape.

I like square stone pendants set diagonally. Pears make very pretty pendants too.

Here is my .75ct Marquise pendant.
