I just ordered a diamond from JA (.75, I, vs2, xxx, hca rating 0.9, 5.88-5.91) and am starting to have second thoughts about settings. I like floating bezel settings, so ordered JA's platinum bezel pendant, which has a flat back and would be less likely to flip (links to pictures below - second link has picture of an actual setting half way down page). However, now I wonder if it would it be too bulky, detract from the stone, and/or diminish the stone's performance. An alternative would be to order the 6-prong scalloped basket (which would coordinate with my 6-prong stud earrings 1.32 ctw, 0.66 each). Thoughts? Does anyone have either setting and could show pictures?
