Hi I've picked out my diamond from whiteflash, decided on a setting, but now need to decide on the chain length. I tried on a 16 inch, which looked fine, but I think it might be better if it's slightly shorter because then it would be more visible with more clothes. Anyone has a 15.5 inch chain? does it look much shorter? I think 15inch would be a little too short (although it would still be okay).

Thanks!

15.5 is the perfect length for me. but i''m petite. 5"

I have a skinny neck so I prefer a 15-15.5" chain. 16" always looks like it''s practically in my cleavage, to me.

by the way I am 5''2" :)

do you see a big difference between 15.5 and 16 on your neck? the jewelry store only had 15inch and 16inch for me to try on, so i can''t really tell what 15.5 looks like exactly

yes i do. 15.5 is perfect for me. 16 is just a bit too long. like basil, cleavage / shirt hiding long.

You could go with the 15.5 inch and also buy an extender. That way if you wear a v neck it could be hung lower.

Of course like another poster with a lovely new necklace you may find yourself buying all new shirts -- V necks.

Good luck with your choice.

An extender? that is a great idea! i didnt know there is such a thing...

hee hee - that would be me. New shirts to show off my necklace.

I got a 16" chain, I have a small neck, and I''m glad I got the 16" and not 15" or 15 1/2". The 16" tends to "ride up" to where it''ll sit in the hollow area of your neck.

Hi Katiedid! how do you like your new pendant? I''ve decided to go with the ''four world'' setting, so the diamond is attached to the chain

kissmark, I absolutely LOVE my pendant. I wear it every single day. Mine is also attached to the chain, but is set in a 3-prong martini setting with a flat basket on the back. I bet you''ll be so happy with yours. When will you have it?

I meant to add--if you go with the 16", you always have the option of adding a jump ring at 15 or 15" to make it shorter. Then when you want it slightly longer (16"), you don''t have to wear an extender. Just a thought. I just have the 16" with no jump ring. I thought I''d want one, but the jeweler told me to wear it for a few days and if I wanted one, he''d put one on for me. I don''t think I need one, since, like I said, it tends to ride up to my collar bone anyway.

What are the specs on your WF diamond? I can''t WAIT to see your pendant!

Ah a jump ring at a shorter length is a great idea too!
