Pearl and diamond pendant

I sort of liked a Mikimoto pendant and sort of liked a Pearl Paradise pendant so decided to have my local jeweler do one custom. (He also did my ring so I know his work!) We talked and went through designs. Tossed out the flower, brought in a bar of diamonds instead of a single. He pulled the rose gold for the swoop by hand so it would be just right. Just picked this up today.

Yes! I am lucky to have him here locally. It was fun being able to talk face to face and look at different ideas. He had a pearl in stock for me to look at and it sort of fell in place from there.

Congratulations, @TooPatient! I've liked both that Mikimoto setting and that PP setting for years, so I know exactly where you were heading with this! A lovely, striking piece that could be the real focus of an outfit. Very beautiful - great job!

Thank you! I was just sitting here looking at helicopter tours thinking how awesome it will look in all the different lights of Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon.

I too love that kind of face-to-face interaction, and for me, that (and knowing that the person with whom I conferred is the one who's going to actually fabricate the piece) makes a jewelry piece even more special. Wish everyone could have, at least once, such a positive experience close to home as you've enjoyed!
